Hey there, I just picked up a Lenovo Ideapad 100S-11IBY. I immediately noticed the touchpad did not have the ability to scroll down using a two finger swipe. I tried updating the Drivers, just to be safe, with no luck. I looked into 3rd party software and couldn't find anything compatible with Windows 10.

Click Troubleshoot --> Advanced options. Choose Startup Settings and click Restart. Safe mode will be started. Something else you can try is the force restart three times - when you see the Lenovo splash screen on start press the on/off button to shutdown, do this another two times, this should force the recovery options. If this still doesn’t work then there’s a hardware fault imo. Virginia - Time Lady.

I'm trying to help a friend resolve a problem with his Lenovo Ideapad laptop, model 100S-11IBY. The problem appears to be that Windows 10 doesn't detect some of the hardware, most noticeably the keyboard and touchpad, but also the battery and sound card. That is, these devices simply do not appear in the relevant categories in the Device Router/Modem. Check that the router or modem is is properly connected to the internet. Make sure it is turned on and all lights are working. If this is not the case, try restarting the router by making sure everything is plugged in well and then unplugging the power cord for 15 seconds and then plugging the power cord back in.
