Congrats on your 690. I think an aftermarket muffler is worthwhile for the sole reason of getting rid of the ridiculously hot catalytic converter. Look at the Wings exhaust. You won’t find better and it’s relatively inexpensive. My other favorite mod is a steering dampener.

I was hoping to get a 2009 Wings exhaust to fit on my 2014. He informed me that the exhaust cans were identical, but the mounting bracket that attaches the can to the motorcycle has changed as KTM altered the mount point for 2014+.
